Stratford Court separates itself from other stores and specialty stores for many reasons. It starts with our team. We have carefully recruited a staff with a passion for Stratford Court and for each person walking in the door. The experience at Stratford Court is warm, comfortable and delivered with a confidence we will be able to provide any of their furnishing, accessory or specialty needs.

Stratford Court provides our customer with a visual experience often referred to as "better than a museum". From the moment you enter, our customer knows they are not in a typical furniture store. With 19th century antiques from France, Belgium, Germany, Italy and Spain combined with the finest collection of new furnishings and accessories, their senses are simulated. By introducing the antiques with quality vendors, our selection of case goods is unique and eclectic.

Each vignette is dressed with an abundance of accessories, specialty lighting, hand painted oils and striking prints.  We believe in instant gratification for our customers, inviting them to select "from the floor". This adds to the uniqueness of Stratford Court as a merchandise is in constant motion. New items comes in each day and is immediately placed in one of forty vignettes.

This constant change makes each visit exciting for the customer. By selling from the floor, we also have the ability for our room consultants to deliver a truck loaded with furnishings and accessories to stage a home. This enables our customer to see the visible difference each piece makes in their home.

Just when the customer thinks the journey through the gallery is complete, you enter a cool, moist and serene area, The Garden. We have carved out a niche market with developers and landscape architects. Approximately, one
thousand square feet of the gallery is filled with fountains, garden urns and statuary, all hand finished to achieve an Old World look. You can see many of our fountains in Valley resorts, restaurants and master planned communities.

Through a combination of unique vignettes with quality furnishings, antiques and our sincere, caring and relationship oriented staff, we have created a one of a kind shopping experience. Very often you will hear our staff say one of our mantras, "We have more instinct than ego".

One customer, Dorothy, was tragically diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease, rapidly robbing her of her sight. When the doctor told her, for her safety,
she would not be able to leave her home she asked a friend to bring her to Stratford Court. She told us her prognosis and she couldn't imagine losing her sight without seeing the store one last time. There were many tears and hugs that day which is not an unusual occurrence in our store. This best summarizes the Stratford Court experience.

Stratford Court is different because we provide an experience for our customer like no other and our customer provides us an opportunity to make a difference in their home, while making a difference in each of our lives.

History and Philosophy

Stratford Court Fine Furniture, Antiques and Design opened February 1, 1998, with over 1,100 customers attending our grand opening. Initially, independent interior designers and antique dealers leased showrooms. Shortly into the venture our company philosophy changed and we stopped leasing showrooms. Today, Stratford Court occupies the 20,000 square feet, comprised of forty room vignettes filled with an eclectic combination of antique and high end case goods, upholstery, hand painted oils, finished with merchandise from over 330 accessory vendors.

Our store philosophy is to provide our customers with unique, high quality, one of a kind home furnishings and related products with outstanding customer service. Our staff is trained in building relationships, resulting in a large percentage of our customers visiting on a monthly basis, if not weekly. First time customers are often heard gasping at the grandeur and the attention to detail exhibited in each vignette.

In the West, Stratford Court is known for one of a kind, retrofitted antiques, such as a king-sized bed made from a gigantic gothic monk's bench imported from Europe. Antique armoires are converted to beautiful display cabinets; wine bars are fitted with interior drawers. Locally , Stratford Court is known for an abundance of accessories. In fact, we display more accessories than any other store in the valley.
